I have a new stained glass piece! What’s the safest way to hang it up?

Hang it in a window or against a wall with a sturdy nail or C hook. Do not use a suction cup to hang your glass—a suction cup will eventually fall and your piece will break :(

Over time, you may notice some of your solder lines have a white residue—this is oxidation; if oxidation occurs, gently buff your solder lines with carnauba wax and a microfiber cloth.

Solder and came contain lead. Please wash your hands after touching.**

Do you take commissions?

Yes! And I would love to hear what you have in mind. Shoot me an email with your idea, budget, and timeline so we can get a sense of what's possible: hello@shatter-shop.com.

What kinds of repairs can you do?

I have experience repairing copper foil lampshades, windows, and suncatchers, as well leaded windows, including complete rebuilds.

When and where will you have classes?

I am getting ready to host classes in Portland and Lisbon soon. Sign up for the mailing list to be the first to know when classes are live!: hello@shatter-shop.com.

Is stained glass kinda dangerous?

Not when you know how to protect yourself! If you sign up for class, you will be working with some potentially hazardous materials (lead and abrasive chemicals), but PPE will be provided and we will cover safety instructions on how to properly handle these materials.
