Sister lampshades
from New Orleans
This set of sister lampshades came to us after they were heavily damaged in a flood. The shades were thoroughly cleaned to remove any leftover mud, debris, and oxidation on the solder and brass overlays.
Broken pieces were identified, removed, and replaced; dragonfly heads were reattached and strengthened, and the shades were structurally reinforced.
A coat of patina and polish left them ready for their second (third?) lives!
Early-1900s restoration & partial rebuild
The corners of this antique panel were falling away from the center,
and a thin border of red glass was nearly gone—just a small section
had survived.

The edge pieces were removed and replaced for a uniform repair, and the red border was reconstructed. Once complete, the window was puttied, patinated, and polished.
